The women of Alpha Xi Delta’s Gamma Theta Chapter at East Tennessee State University will host “The AmaXIng Challenge: Step It Up 5k “on April 5th at the Civitan Park in Johnson City, TN. Teams will participate in a 5K walk/run to raise funds and awareness for Autism Speaks, Alpha Xi Delta’s national philanthropy partner.
Refreshments will be provided, and great prizes will be up for grabs to participating runners.
“While there is evidence of the importance of early childhood diagnosis and intervention for children with autism, critical funding for autism research is lacking,” said Leanne Stovall Alpha Xi Delta’s Chapter President. “We are hopeful the East Tennessee State University campus as well as the Johnson City community will join us in our effort to find the missing pieces of the autism puzzle and support our AmaXIng Challenge and Autism Speaks.”
Registration is $20 per person, and only 250 slots are available for the tournament. To sign up or receive more information, please contact We Run Events.
